Home users with multiple Apple products (like iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple TVs) have a new feature that will speed up downloads while reducing bandwidth usage. Thanks to content caching, all your iCloud data, media files, updates and downloads can be copied to a shared cache, where all your devices will retrieve them when it’s time to sync, instead of downloading them from the Internet.

Mostly intended for large institutions, this feature allows a Mac to become a cache for every macOS, iOS, and Apple TV system on a network. Previously this feature was exclusive to macOS Server, but macOS High Sierra now offers it to all Mac users by default.
