While some don’t even try, there are others that often find themselves at a loss when it comes to professionally folding a fitted sheet. With awkward corners and an impossible life of its own, it seems impossible, right? Not so much!
It’s more about state of mind
As mentioned in Family Handyman’s article, “The Easiest Way to Fold a Fitted Sheet”, a lot of it is mind over matter and knowing that it’s a simple task.
Here are some of the main steps to acquaint yourself with.
- Start with the right end: The long end is what you’ll spread out, tucking the fitted sheet inside out in the narrow corners.
- Fold into half, then quarters: Tuck the inside out corners into the right-side corners securely. Then turn one side of corners inside out and nest it into the other side. All of the elastic should be snugged together.
- Lay flat and fold: Lay this flat on the table and then fold as normal. Some do halves and others do thirds.
BONUS: Make sure you have enough space to start with, as this can be a huge cause of frustration especially with bigger sizes. Remember, too, that practice makes perfect.
