Computers can be our best friends, but they can also be our worst enemies. There is no better example of this than a computer that just doesn’t work like it should. Maybe it’s old, maybe it’s virus-laden, or maybe it’s just plain slow for absolutely no reason at all.

Is it operating on Windows? If so, here are some great tips to help.

It’s the little things that make the difference

As noted in Fox News’ post, “7 tools for fixing Windows problems”, sometimes the solution is just a small fix. The snail speed you’re experiencing may just be from a small glitch here or there instead of something major that requires a technician. For example:

  • Discover that other devices are connecting to your network (slowing your computer down)
  • Clean up your hard drive to rid it of things you don’t use anymore
  • See if there are any hidden programs active in the task manager

Computers are sophisticated and frustrating, but it’s nice to know that you don’t need a computer-related degree in order to solve many problems. Need more help? Read more on the topic here!
