In this new and scary time of social distancing, you’ll find people often in two camps: those who stay strict to the 6-foot rule and those who don’t. As people begin to move around again, they encounter, inevitably, those people who don’t take social distancing seriously.

But what can you do about it?

Your responsibility VS theirs

As noted in Bustle’s article, “How To Talk To Someone About Their Bad Social Distancing, According To Experts”, one of the important points is to understand what’s your responsibility and what’s theirs. Take a moment to ask yourself the following:

  • If they won’t follow social distancing requirements, am I able to distance myself from them?
  • Do they know that they’re breaking social distancing rules?
  • Am I doing everything I can to help them understand the concern?

We all have to do our part to keep each other safe, and a huge part of that is in social distancing. If you need help having a difficult conversation with someone who isn’t following proper rules, please see the original post here.
