There’s no such thing as perfect, and that includes when you’re away on vacation and looking for a place to stay. Even if the hotel has fantastic reviews and few complaints, it’s possible that things may go wrong when you’re staying there.
If something is, in fact, wrong in a valid sense (your hotel door won’t lock, your reservation to the spa didn’t go through even though you got a confirmation, etc.) and you’d like to make a complaint, there is a proper way to do it.
Focus on your attitude
When looking to complain, as mentioned in
- Be polite and respectful, always
- Complain in person
- Keep a record of who you talk to, when, and what was said
- Don’t expect them to bend over backwards for you
The hotel industry thrives on customer satisfaction, so most establishments will do what they can to fix your complaint.
