All businesses and freelancers are looking for new customers, but especially now. If you find yourself with not enough time to spend on marketing and networking, consider putting LinkedIn to work for you. Yes, for you.

15-20 minutes a day

Without spending hours mindlessly scrolling, here are some focus points to get right so that you can get everything done in 15-20 minutes every single day. As mentioned in Entrepreneur’s post, “How to Leverage LinkedIn in 20 Minutes a Day”, it’s all about focusing on the right areas:

  • Home page: Here you’ll see latest updates from those in your network, and you’ll be able to engage with them.
  • Profile views: Take a look at who’s been checking out your profile. It will help you reach out to interested people and give them your elevator pitch.
  • Invitations: Send invitations (pre-formatted for maximum time saving) to 5-10 influential people you find.
  • Groups: Engage with groups related to your field and comment, like and otherwise be active within them.

You may not have a lot of time to spend on LinkedIn, but you can make sure that it’s doing its part to help you bring in more business! And if you have a bit more time to spare, you can also check out some of LinkedIn’s other useful features.
