Heading out into the wilderness with the bare essentials is a popular summertime activity for campers. But unless you grew up camping, it can be difficult to understand exactly what you should be bringing along with you and what should stay behind. Which is precisely why you should have a glance at this list to make sure you’re always on the right side of the tracks when it comes to camping.
Don’t skimp on the essentials
As mentioned in Dummies’ article, “Camping For Dummies Cheat Sheet”, you don’t want to think “Oh, I should have brought the big frying pan and the tiny one”. Prepare for all of your needs and adapt your kit as you go.
Here are some things you may not think of to include (but should):
- Resealable bags
- Aluminum foil
- Oven mitts
- Matches and a lighter (not one or the other)
- Duct tape
You need to be self-sufficient, but still keep yourself from bringing along half of the house with you. Looking for more help with your “What to bring” list? There’s more waiting for you in the article found here!
